When you need sturdy sidewalls for your flatbed truck or utility trailer, this weld-on stake pocket makes it simple. Just drop in a 2x4 board and know your cargo is staying put. It's raw metal, so give it a painted finish to prevent rusting.

Hi, everyone, Steve here with etrailer.com. Let's take a look together at our CE Smith Stake Pocket for flatbed trucks or trailers. And it's gonna be a steel construction and a weld-on application. Folks, you're gonna get one, quantity one, of this heavy-duty bracket. As you can see, a Stake Pocket would weld onto, again, maybe the side of a trailer frame, a flatbed side, something like that, thus giving you a Stake Pocket to either put a two-by-four in place. Maybe you're making a wall or a homemade gate or something like that to keep cargo in place, or you just wanna be able to put a strap through there and hook it, something like that.
So it is welded on. I mean, you would weld this on. That's why it has a raw finish. So make sure you paint it after you get it welded on. If you're not a welder, make you go to a qualified welder to get this welded in place.
It's made of a four-gauge steel construction. It's super sturdy, and once again, you can use it on flatbeds or trailers. Some quick dimensions as we go through here. Now, I measured up here closest to these corners, because keep in mind, you know, if they make 1,000 or a million of these, the ends here could potentially be spread out a little bit. So just keep that in mind.
I was getting roughly 4 1/4 inches overall on a length. And then when I went from the top flat part to the very, very tip, I was getting about 1 7/8 inches. And then as far as this direction, I got about three inches. Now, this Stake Pocket opening, side to side, I got about 3 5/8 inches as far as usable space here. Again, keeping in mind this could be flexed in or out a little bit, so I was going at the very top, the closest I could to the corners.
And then a quick depth inside usable space, I got about 1 5/8 inches from the flat part right to the edge. So again, some basic dimensions. Obviously, a two-by-four's gonna fit in there just fine. And we sell a million different brands of this. You're gonna have lots of variations on some of the measurements as well. So just kinda keep that in mind. Make sure you're picking out the right one for your application. Folks, that's gonna wrap it up. I'm Steven, thanks for watching. Have a good one.
That was fast & delivered to my door
